St. .Albert Cub Scouts at 104 W. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH 45429 US - May Camporee
The troop had decided to join the Wright Brothers District for their Spring Camporee in May.
Wright Brothers District will host a Spring Camporee at Fort Ancient National Landmark, from Friday, May 11 through Sunday May 13. Boy Scouts will have the opportunity to participate in the largest service project , ever at Fort Ancient, home of the Hopewell Indians. Come and have some fun! Boy Scouts and Venturing Units will camp for the entire weekend. Cub Scouts are will come during the day.
Cost: $15.00/person. (Price includes park admission, camping fees, patch and T-shirt)
Program Highlights include :
- Participation in largest service project at Fort Ancient.
- 3 and 5 person, team competition
- Indian Lore Merit Badge Scouts are invited to join park personnel for a day packed with activities. Stations will be set up so scouts can earn the merit badge.
- Historic Trail Award opportunity
- Orienteering Course
- Cook-off Competition for authentic early American or Native American recipes
- Well marked trails with history and tree identifications ( great, First Class requirement opportunity)
- Tour the Hopewell Indian Museum
- Flag Ceremonies (Tenderfoot requirements)
- Campfire Program Competition
- Event Awards
- Social Gatherings
